One new imported novel coronavirus case was reported in the city on Saturday, said the Shanghai Health Commission on Sunday morning.
The newly diagnosed patient, a Chinese studying in Russia, arrived at the Shanghai Pudong International Airport on July 3 and was put under quarantine. He then developed symptoms and was confirmed infection.
The patient has been transferred to the designated hospital for treatment, while all the 56 close contacts on the same plane have been tracked down and put under quarantine and observation.
So far, of all the 374 imported cases, 347 have been discharged upon recovery and 27 are still hospitalized.
Three imported suspected cases are undergoing test.
No new locally transmitted or suspected cases were reported on Saturday.
Of all the 342 local cases, 334 have been discharged upon recovery and one is hospitalized for treatment. There have been so far seven local fatalities.
No asymptomatic infection cases are undergoing medical observation now, the health commission said.
