Hefei is set to roll out additional high-speed trains starting from July 10, according to a new railway operating plan published by China Railway Corp.
The railway authorities will add the high-speed services G7186/7 and G7188/5 departing Hefeinan Railway Station to Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station. The journey takes as little as 2 hours and 5 minutes to travel between the two cities, with 4,826 seats available each day.

During the peak summer travel season, six additional trains will operate from Hefeinan Railway Station. One will operate a route to Nanchangxi Railway Station, with the other five serving passengers traveling to Anqing Railway Station. The G4023/26 service will now go as far as Shenzhenbei Railway Station.
In addition, there will also be two pairs of new trains operating between Hangzhoudong Railway Station to Huangshanbei Railway Station during the peak travel season.
