At noon on June 24, Guangzhou City issued a notice stating that from June 24, 2021, Baihedong Street, Liwan District will be adjusted from a high-risk to medium-risk area. So far, this round of high-risk regions across the country is officially cleared, and the levels of other regions remain unchanged.
The Fangcun area in Liwan District is the key control area for the current round of the epidemic in Guangzhou. Baihedong and Zhongnan Streets in this area were high-risk areas since June 2. With the orderly development of epidemic prevention and control work, on June 17, Zhongnan Street was adjusted from a high-risk area to a low-risk area and on the morning of the 24th, Baihedong Street was adjusted to a medium-risk area.
Public information shows that there are currently 9 medium-risk regions in the country, all in Guangdong Province, 4 in Guangzhou, 2 in Foshan, 1 in Shenzhen, and 2 in Dongguan. However, according to the website of the Guangdong Health Commission, there were no new local confirmed cases and local asymptomatic infections in Guangdong from 0-24 on June 23.
Guangzhou City is gradually unblocking in an orderly manner. From 16:00 on June 24, Xilong Station, Kengkou Station, and Huadiwan of Line 1 Station, Fangcun Station, Guangfo Line Longxi Station, Jushu Station, Xilong Station, Hedong Station, Shayong Station, and Jiaokou Station of Line 5 all resumed normal operation services. So far, all subway stations temporarily closed in Guangzhou affected by the epidemic have resumed normal operations.
