Read Time:47 Second

A few days ago, Chaohu police conducted in-depth investigations and arrested two “fake nuns” suspected of fraud.

Recently, villagers in Langanji and Miaogang Township of Chaohu City , reported to the local police that some people dressed up like nuns and monks have been going from door to door asking villagers for money in the name of mitigating disasters and bringing blessings .At the end of September, two suspects were arrested in Tongling, for deceiving others by pretending to be nuns.

The suspects confessed to their fraudulent behaviors of pretending to be monks and nuns, using the guise of eliminating disasters and praying for blessings to collect money from people.

According to the “Regulations on Religious Affairs”, all monks and nuns should hold an official ordinance issued by the Chinese Buddhist and Provincial Associations. Those who have not been officially ordained are fakes . If you encounter such people, report to the police immediately to avoid unnecessary losses.
