The former political leaders attended the World Manufacturing Convention (WMC) that took place on Friday in Hefei.
Li said the first WMC, successfully held in Anhui province in May last year, produced fruitful results. With the theme of “Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Creativity: Embracing the New Era of Manufacturing”, this year’s event aims to integrate manufacturing and innovation, develop new manufacturing technology, and become a symbol of innovation, opening-up, cooperation and friendship for improving the world’s manufacturing industry.
Anhui has maintained good and effective partnership with the Global Alliance of SMEs, Germany, France, Austria, and Japan, Li said, hoping the former leaders of the four countries will step up efforts to make Anhui better known in the world and promote exchanges and cooperation between the province and the Global Alliance of SMEs, Germany, France, Austria, and Japan.
Speaking at the meeting, the provincial Party chief pledged to create a better business environment and provide foreign entrepreneurs with high-quality, efficient and convenient services.
The former political leaders agreed that with geographic advantages, excellent transportation systems, sci-tech innovation strengths, and characteristic manufacturing, Anhui provides a favorable investment environment and shows untapped potential for cooperation. They all pledged to promote cooperation with the province in trade, science and technology, culture and tourism, especially in manufacturing, to achieve common development.
