At around 19:25 on August 6, the Hefei Airport police station received a security alert stating that a male passenger carrying a bullet tried passing through security check at the airport. The passenger is a young man in his 20s from Harbin and was to take a flight from Hefei to Zhuhai . When going through security check , he carried a live ammunition with a diameter of about 10 mm in his duffel bag, which was immediately confiscated by security.
After investigations , the man confessed to his ignorance and was placed under a 5-days administrative detention according to law . He may also be included in the list of restricted persons on China civil aircraft for a period of one year.
The Hefei Airport Police warmly reminds passengers that except as otherwise provided by the State Council, those flying on civil aircraft are prohibited from carrying or delivering the following items:
(1) Guns, ammunition, ordnance, police equipment;
(2) Control knives;
(3) Flammable, explosive, toxic, corrosive, and radioactive materials;
(4) Other prohibited items stipulated by the state.
