On April 7, the “Hefei Stroke First Aid Map 2.0” press conference led by the Hefei Municipal Health Commission and undertaken by the First Affiliated Hospital of China University of Science and Technology (Anhui Provincial Hospital) was held in the First Affiliated Hospital of China University of Science and Technology (Southern District). Compared with the version 1.0 released in 2018, version 2.0 this time has covered Feidong, Feixi, Chaohu and other areas, and 6 new hospitals have been added.
It is reported that the release of version 2.0 of the stroke emergency map will provide a more efficient and convenient information platform for stroke treatment in Hefei, forming a “golden hour” rapid treatment network in Hefei .
Stroke is commonly known as apoplexy and includes two major categories: cerebral infarction and cerebral hemorrhage. Stroke treatment is a “speed of life and death”. Within the “golden hour”, timely reception of thrombolysis and recanalization is particularly critical. Therefore, how to recognize a stroke, choose and promptly reach a hospital capable of treatment, will directly affect the patient’s disability, and life.
The stroke emergency map is a life-saving “map”, and it is also a “life-saving guide” for stroke patients. Its significance is mainly to provide accurate navigation for the patient’s pre-hospital emergency selection, and effectively connect the patient, the 120 emergency system, and the stroke center hospital. Patients and their families can learn about hospitals with acute stroke treatment capabilities in the region’s “one-hour golden rescue circle” through the stroke emergency map, and communicate with hospitals and 120 emergency centers in a timely manner.
As the only national “Demonstration Advanced Stroke Center” in Anhui Province, the Southern District of the First Affiliated Hospital of China University of Science and Technology (Anhui Provincial Hospital) led the establishment of the Hefei Stroke Emergency Map Quality Control Center in 2020.
