On the evening of July 20, the Hefei Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism published the Notice of the National Film Administration on the Orderly Advancement of the Reopening of Movie Theaters Under the Normalized Epidemic Prevention and Control, proposing that movie theaters in the whole city are allowed to orderly resume operation starting from July 20 on the premise that proper prevention and control measures have been put in place. A total of 9 movie theaters, including Changjiang Theatre, Jiefang Cinema, Bona International Cinema and MixC Cinema, resumed operation orderly on that day, while other movie theaters are still waiting for the announcement by relevant departments in their administrations.
Changjiang Theatre in Luyang District was the first to reopen and the movie Wolf Warriors 2 was re-released at 10:00 am on July 21. At around 9:00 am on July 21, the staff members of the Theatre were found to provide services at the entrance, guiding moviegoers to put on masks in advance while asking them to show their health QR codes on mobile phones. After their health QR codes were confirmed to be green, moviegoers still could not go into the Theatre to get tickets and watch the movie until they had their body temperature tested, made real-name registrations of basic personal information, and disinfected their hands. In the movie hall, moviegoers were required to keep a distance from each other while sitting down to watch the movie. The rate of attendance per show is not allowed to exceed 30 percent. Later, the MixC Cinema in Luyang District invited dozens of anti-epidemic staff members working for epidemic prevention and control in this district to watch an ongoing new movie called A First Farewell, marking its official return to business.
In accordance with relevant requirements, local cinemas are required to provide access to making real-name reservations and purchasing tickets online upon the resumption of business; cinemas must sell non-adjacent tickets in every other row, and ensure that moviegoers must keep a distance of at least one meter; the rate of attendance per show is not allowed to exceed 30 percent; snacks and beverages are not allowed to be sold in principle.
