The draft for comments stated that schools should respect and protect students’ personal dignity, reputation, and cultivate in them a sense of honor. Schools should establish and improve rules and procedures for commending and rewarding students, so as to be open, fair and just.
Schools are not allowed to disclose the individual test scores and rankings of students, nor to publicize the progress of students; in the work of awards, subsidies, and poverty relief applications, they must not disclose the privacy of students and their families.
The school shall inform the parents before collecting personal information of students, and shall have the obligation to manage and keep confidential information obtained from the students and their families, and shall not conceal, destroy, or illegally delete, disclose, disseminate, or trade.
