On the evening of February 8, Hefei epidemic prevention and control emergency headquarters issued a notice on strengthening the sales management of fever and cough drugs in retail pharmacies in the city, stating amongst others that from February 9, a real name registration is required for such drug purchase. The details are as follows:
1.All retail pharmacies must sell drugs with fever reducing and cough relieving functions according to the prescriptions of a medical institution, and keep a unified number of the prescription for future reference. In order to prevent cross infection, retail pharmacies should remind patients to strengthen their self-protection when visiting pharmacies.
2.Fever and cough medicine should be sold and registered with the patient’s ID or social security card. The registered information shall at least include the drug name, specification, quantity, name of the buyer and user, ID number, detailed address, contact number and other information for traceability.
3.The registration information of each retail pharmacy on that day shall be reported to the market supervision administration of the county (city), development zone and community (Village) before 22:00 of that day. The submission method shall be determined by the market supervision and Administration Bureau of each county (city) district and development zone. The market supervision and Administration Bureau of each county (city) district and Development Zone shall summarize and report to the local epidemic prevention and control emergency headquarters.
4.Those who sell fever and cough drugs (including over-the-counter drugs) without prescription shall be strictly investigated and punished.
This notice shall come into effect on February 9, 2020. The time of annulment shall be notified in a separate document.
